25th December 2019 – A poll of 2,000 UK consumers published today by British music entertainment system ROXi reveals concerns about smartphone and tablet use are so extreme that 65% of Brits say their families spend too much time isolated from one another on smartphones and tablets on Christmas Day.
93% of parents with children under 14 wish their families spent less time on phones and tablets on Christmas Day, and would prefer they spend more time having shared digital experiences together as a family.
Young people so scared of spending time with family that they turn to their headphones
Half (50%) of 16-24 year olds say they play music at home on their headphones on Christmas Day because they’re nervous about spending so much time with parents and other relatives.

The good news is that families to do also listen to some music together.
83% of Brits listen to over an hour of music together with family on Christmas Day and 55% listen for over 2 hours of music together on Christmas Day.
