This week: Christmas Memories
Past Christmas
“It’s Christmas!” as the great Noddy Holder once shouted. The season of goodwill to relatives you avoid the rest of the year is approaching on a very fast sleigh. It’s not going to be a normal yuletide for any of us, because 2020 doesn’t do normal, so we might as well get as festive as possible… decorate every square inch of your home in tinsel, dress up like an elf (perhaps you already do, you weirdo), and don’t do December without our selection box of classic Christmas songs.
We’ve filled your virtual stocking with the biggest and best Christmas hits from the 1970s all the way to the 2010s, featuring everything from Sir Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmastime to Coldplay’s Christmas Lights. Santa (us, it’s us — don’t tell the kids) has made sure you’ll not want for top tunes under the tree.
Head to Top Playlists / Featured on your ROXi for all the snow-based song nostalgia you can eat. You want Wham!’s Last Christmas? We’ve got it. Wizzard’s I Wish it Could Be Christmas Every Day? It’s there. Fairytale Of New York? It literally wouldn’t be Christmas without it. Pick your favourite decade or sit back and play them all. And in case you’re wondering, there’s a heck of a lot of Cliff Richard. No one loves Christmas as much as Cliff.
Amazing Artist Photography – Now on ROXi
Amongst all this reminiscing, we do have something new: If you switch on your ROXi today, you can now enjoy extraordinary iconic photographs of your favourite artists on screen for every single track in our 55 million song music catalogue.
Simply choose your favourite artist and, whilst their music plays, enjoy a truly incredible audiovisual experience on your TV with artist photography. This automatic upgrade will be available on all new and existing ROXi systems at no extra cost, and you can change back to the old visualisers at any time by going to Visuals / Browse Packs.

Carols by Candlelight
Are you missing carols this year? Spreading the joy of music to everyone this Christmas is more important than ever, so we’ve teamed up with the Cystic Fibrosis Trust to support their star-studded virtual carol concert, featuring Dame Judi Dench, Jenny Agutter, Jane Asher, David Haig, Damian Lewis, Katie Melua and top-class choristers, filmed at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and St. Luke’s Church in London.
The film, created by Emmy nominee and BAFTA-winning music producer Nigel Heath along with Tom Allom, who produces the music of Judas Priest, will air on the 17th December at 7pm. If you’re interested in attending this virtual carol concert event, click here — there is a £10 donation per ticket, and 100 percent of the money raised will go to a very good cause.
